Buying a 2010 125i Coupe - is the rear too cramped for kids?
Discussion
It'll work as a "sometimes" car, not as a main family car. You will all feel cramped in it on a longer journey.
When our kids were little more than babies we had the hatch version and I vividly remember feeling like I'd just come off a long haul flight in economy class after only a 2 hour drive

It’s getting harder to distinguish if you’re on PistonHeads or if you’ve accidentally come to the comments section of the guardian.
Have we really got someone recommending a Ford Focus over 3.0 1 series.
This is hot in heals of another thread yesterday were people were saying there is no need to buy a car if your commute to work is only 3 miles each way.

What colour have you got?
Keep looking at the these/135i to replace my 2.5ti. The steering is the thing that's swaying me at the moment although I'm sure you acclimatise to it.
Pleased with it?
Yes fairly pleased with it. 70K, Nav, Bluetooth, Cruise, full leather, interior is pretty much immaculate. The exterior however needs some attention and I factored this into the price. It's not massively quick, but it punches well. It does seem BMW reined in the power on the 2.5i. It's also a manual. I assume this is a Gertrag Box?
Certainly does not feel like one. No clunk, strong arming like my E46 M3! Silky smooth although there is a slight vibration at idle of the stick.

Glad you are pleased with it (even if only fairly pleased)! It's not massively quick, but it punches well. It does seem BMW reined in the power on the 2.5i. It's also a manual. I assume this is a Gertrag Box?

Power was definitely reined in - it's basically the same engine as the 130i, but that has 265 bhp. But there are people who can liberate the potential of a 125i (Evolve spring to mind) although there may be others.
BMW manual gearboxes seem a bit random, some work well but others don't!
My E46 320td was obstructive, my 123d worked really well, my 1st Z4C was notchy, my E46 325ti was sloppy, my 2nd Z4C is OK but my E91 325i (on mega-miles) is really smooth!
A tweaked 125i, 130i or 330i are all on my radar as a 1 car option one day so it's useful to get some insight.
Congratz op, consider one of these as an upgrade for it, aside from the functionality it mkes Interior look more modern too, the coupes are so let down by the standard headunit....it looks like something from the 90s

That does look like an awesome bit of kit. https://m.aliexpress.com/item/32758814543.html?tra...
How does the Internet work on there? You pair your phone.
When I had an M3 the Dynavin was the one everyone was on about.

I just put hotspot on as im putting address in google maps on my phone, i use the headunit to then play youtube vids as i go along and it automatically connects via Bluetooth for calls, in terms of functionality it really does piss all over any oem unit as it works just like any android phone with great touch responsiveness and no reliability or software issues to note in over a year of use. You can go the whole hog and get a reversing camera hooked up to it which will then automatically come on as you go into reverse + you can run any android app, which means you can engage maximum nerd mode and have '' torque'' app running giving you all sorts of digital info on the fly too. Lots of capability, looks more oem than the oem unit and compared to optioned in nav options in new cars is cheap too!
