Hoping someone might be able to help with this:

I work in the UK for a Dublin based company.

Need to organise a lease on a pick up to be used in UK

All company finances are through Dublin so we only have an Irish bank account.

Any suggestion for funders/brokers that are happy to deal with irish accounts. Seems to be a deal breaker for everyone that I have spoken to so far.

Cheers

Revolut allows you to have a UK based bank account. Just switch it from Euros to Pounds in the app and you're good to go

Why not get your employer to source and fund one in the Republic and then bring it over here for you to use?

PH Myth: It's "illegal" to drive a foreign reg'd vehicle in the UK if you are a UK resident.

Myth is true

Once you are resident any vehicle you own/use in the country of residence must be registered in that country

Yes you may drive a foreign reg vehicle as a U.K. resident but that vehicle cannot remain in the U.K. indefinitely but to live and work here and have a company vehicle means you have a vehicle registered here

We are twixt Ireland and the uk at the mo .. moving more permanently to irl as time goes by

As I’m resident in the U.K. I have an Euro overseas bank account in Ireland with bank of Ireland which gives me a financial presence in both states and access to money instantly in sterling/Euro’s

I’m sure you have a sterling account. Can you not lease in your name ?

Are you paid in Ireland or the U.K. ?

My wife will be living full time in irl shortly, working full time in the U.K. ( home based) for a Swedish company she is paid in the U.K. and taxed as per the double taxation treaty

She has a company car in the U.K. .. provided through leaseplan iirc

But due to tax and how little it will be getting used we will probably hand it back shortly and the company will rent her a car as/when needed
