Wife not going to be persuaded to drive my 2010 manual box 325i, so going to have to trade it in. On line buy any car offered 5k which seems very low, can I expect a more competitive trade in price against a 10k. car?
Is it worth having the alloys refurbished, they do let the car down in presentation but will it make a not of difference to the trade in value?

It’s a late 2010 car with 79000 fsh.

Edit to add just to clarify: I will be buying a car for around 10k not expect that for my trade in,

Where are you located? I'm on the lookout for one of these (330i or 325)

Seems a fair price for a trade in, as for the wheels, if the cost of the refurb gets you a trade in higher than the cost of the refurb plus initial quote then go for it, i doubt it would though.

The quote was ‘we buy any car.’ so I guess they take a slice before it’s sent to auction, they take a slice when sold. My guess is 20% or about 1k for saving my hassle.
