10 year old Kia

Is it a good buy?
Here it is:

We drove it today and it seems like an ok car, apart from some unresponsiveness from the clutch which worried me. But I am not confident enough to discern if it is a clutch problem or just a reasonable thing to expect from a 10 year old car.
I am just looking for a car for a very occasional use, so really unwilling to spend more than 2500 pounds. But the cars I saw at dealers at this price point are just total junk, no matter how nice the auto trader ad looks - you get there and you see a car with no life left in it, mechanically or otherwise.
Any advice would be appreciated (or I just might be better off renting as I was doing up until now)...

Do you need an MPV?
If not, I'd look at something like I bought in November last year, a 2005 '55' Toyota Corolla 1.6 petrol automatic. One owner from new, with 66k ish miles. £2995 from my local Toyota dealer. I've put about 10k miles on it and only needed one brake light bulb.
It will be going up for sale in the next week or so, as I'm upgrading after getting rid of my other car (2016 Mercedes SLC), although I'm reluctant to part with it as it's been so good.
