Wife needs a replacement car

Budget £5k
She is 5'2" and finds visibility in 'normal' type cars poor.

Ive been thinking maybe MPV type thing may be the better solution
C3 picasso type thing?
Looking for Focus type size as it will be used on motorways a few days a week

Any other suggestions for the more vertically challenged?

TIA

Steer clear of Germans (VAG). I always find it hilarious seeing shorter drivers with the top of the steering wheel right in their eyeline because they are so low down.

Italians tend to have higher seats. The fiat 500 might be a good shout as they have high driving seats and short bonnets with virtually no rear overhang.

Small cushion?

Little SB (11y/o, 5'0") got to play off-road in an Evoque recently. Seat up high, and instructor provided a thin cushion to improve visibility.

Thoroughly recommended, by the way. She'd never been behind the wheel before and came away buzzing!

WTF? What is the reason of staying clear of them?

On the contrary, you may find that many VAG cars, mid range onwards have seat height adjustment, all VAG cars I have and do own have anyway.

My wife is 5'1" and drives a SEAT Altea, the seat height rises that much, on its full height I struggle to sit properly and I am 6'1".

Maybe the drivers of VAG cars you have seen didnt realise the seat would raise, or just couldnt be bothered?
