I've been expecting to see a small fire sale of pre-WLTP cars during August, but really haven't spotted much (other than https://www.jardinemotors.co.uk/audi/new-car-offer... Am I just looking in the wrong places or have manufacturers and dealerships dealt with the problem of unsellable stock already? Or will they all turn into used stock shortly?

Most of them have been sold already IMO. No need to fire sale, most dealers have been pretty proactive in getting shot of stock and the fact that you can’t get new engines for lots of models means that stock has been run down quite effectively.

There have been deals out there...

Stepdad just picked up a new "new C-Class" 300 with a decent spec for about 7K off list before any of the Merc finance initiatives were applied.

I helped a friend over the weekend pick up a new polo SEL 115ps with a good few options on it for less than the price of a basic SE, a saving of about 20%. This one had to be registered by today as it was a pre WLTP car, and the end of the dealers quarter.
