Evening all,

I’ve currently got an Audi rs3. The car is immaculate and i do like it as it does everything i require........ however, it does it with no drama and lacks the excitement.

I have therefore been considering alternative cars and seem to want to scratch an itch that involves a Nissan GT-R. The rs3 is worth c.£20k, and will have another £15k ish to put towards.

Has anyone got any experience of going from one to the other. In addition, any pointers into what I should be looking out for. I’ve looked at the guides on the net etc.

To put some context to it, it is just my gf and Myself. Therefore, rear space is not too necessary, although I sometimes transport my largish dog when going out for walks.

Thanks in Advance.

If you want a nice GT-R then give the guys at Litchfield a call if they don't have one for you to buy they'll probably know of a customer selling a nice one.

Unlike the Audi (& I do like them) the GT-R is a proper drivers car so will ask more from you but they're very rewarding.

The gearbox on the early versions was a but of a weak spot but most will have been sorted by now (this will have been sorted if you buy a litchfield) anyway here are some examples:

Thanks for the info, I never thought about speaking to litchfield direct. The first one is actually on my radar as it is not too far away from me. The ideal colour would be black, but they do look well in grey.

Check out a car for sale by a user called "TREG" on the GTR forum. Well looked after and he use to own an R33 GTR beforehand, priced well. Plenty of threads on what to look out for, misconceptions some have had etc, have a look smile

Just make sure you understand the running costs/servicing intervals etc.

Agreed. I don't know exact figures but I have heard people moan about the costs compared to other cars.
