quite simple really you get £200k to spend on one car:

- whatever you don't spend is lost.
- insurance is taken care of
- does not have to be your only car
- can be old/new/custom/whatever

what would you choose?

Right now, this https://www.ebay.com/itm/1956-Chevrolet-Bel-Air-15...
Very under budget at 175000 trumps but it’s bloody stunning smile

I would put a Ferrari v8 from the 458 in to an Alfa 159 Ti Q4 estate. Swap as many panels as possible to carbon fibre to aid with weight and upgrade the brakes and suspension etc. Probably the nicest looking Alfa estate but it never got the performance version that it deserved. This would be it for me; unique, fun and practical.

Ford RS200 ,assuming I could find one within budget.
Would have to be a used one not a pristine museum piece.

A run out model of the old MK1 Aston Martin Vanquish S, with the factory conversion to manual.

my choice would likely also be a frankencar:

1972 TransAm 455 or 1970 RS/Z28 Camaro body
LS7
LSD
4 wheel drive
air-ride
