Service timelines if put on hold

If there is an in stock vehicle and i ask the dealer to hold the car for up to 30 days

When am I liable to service the car, from date of delivery to my home and i make first month payment or delivery to dealership which just sits there

Reason why i am asking is that i have one more.month of my current car left and wish to hold off from delivery

It will be from the date of first registration.

So it could have been a stock/showroom car for a few months, but it's the registration date that is important for the warranty and servicing.
