Considering new car - last mot issues - what do they mean?

Hi guys,

I'm about to buy a new car and owner has assured me all the below issues have been resolved. Just wondering if there's anything serious that jumps out? Is there just all wear and tear?

Please see below and advise:


Repair immediately (major defects):
Offside Front Service brake excessively fluctuating (1.2.1 (e))

Monitor and repair if necessary (advisories):
Offside Rear Service brake fluctuating, but not excessively (1.2.1 (e))
Front Brake disc worn, pitted or scored, but not seriously weakened (1.1.14 (a) (ii))
Rear Brake disc worn, pitted or scored, but not seriously weakened (1.1.14 (a) (ii))
Nearside Rear Tyre worn close to legal limit/worn on edge (5.2.3 (e))
Offside Rear Tyre worn close to legal limit/worn on edge (5.2.3 (e))
Tyre pressure monitoring system warning lamp does not illuminate (4.1.D.4)
engine covers & under trays front to rear , not allowing full inspection
plastic sill covers fitted , not allowing full inspection

From that list ,you should be looking to see if the tyres have been replaced and if yes ,by a quality brand ,not some 25 pound

And the brake discs ,if you can't see them ,ask for invoice to prove it's been done.

If none of the above has been done ,offer low price or walk.

Ignore the last 2 items ,he has to put those down.

Also need to see a fresh MOT with a pass. The major defect would have been a fail and a fresh MOT should show the brake and tyre issues have been resolved.
