Hi All,

I had a 2008 Skoda Octavia diesel VRS that recently got written off and I got £3200 for it, and now I have no idea what I want to get. I am doing a bit of driving through London but not actually through the congestion charge zone (generally) but not sure how the new ULEZ and diesel road taxing is going to affect a car that I buy.

I wont be doing too many miles so I'm not too fussed about fuel economy but I dont want to get stung by insurance and road tax instead too much. I was looking at a BMW 330 convertible (just never had a convertible) and the road tax is saying £315 which isn't as bad as I thought. I drove a E90 320 recently and found it quite unimpressive, I think I am too used to the torque I was getting from the VRS skoda after it had been mapped and boost pressures messed with.

Any inspiration would be much appreciated.

Thanks
Seenan
