Lease - Service Light

My light has just appeared for an oil service within the next 900miles.
As my car is due to be inspected & picked up in the next two weeks, would it be recommended to have the oil service or leave it (as it isnt due for another 900miles)

Its a 2016 VW Tiguan.
Mileage is 17,500 @ 20months old. So earlier than the 20k or 2yr in the typical service schedule

The car must have known something was up after i bought its replacement on Saturday!

I was under the impression that as long as it wasn't due on or before the day of collection then that would be fine. Although I imagine each lease co would be different.

If it was mine i wouldnt do the service. But maybe a read of your documents may stipulate otherwise.
