What £1,500 barge

Evening all,
Currently have a e92 BMW M3. Love it but my commute is c2miles each way to work but I have to be mobile for work so walking / cycling etc isn’t an option.
Problem is, as is well documented running an M3 cold often isn’t wise plus I’ve just bought a boat so want to release some £££.
Added to this, fuel, depreciation, tax and insurance isn’t worth paying lots for when I don’t get to use it for what it’s designed for.
I’ve had an e38 in the past and loved it so thinking of something along those lines.
What other nice, large, solid, old barges are there. Quirky and obviously/ deliberately different (like the e38) the better.
