Fabia Estate - no headrests in centre rear and a lapbelt ?
Discussion
Anyone have a Fabia Estate ? Have been looking at a fairly new Fabia Estate -new baby !
The sales rep said on the phone that there is no centre headrest and a lapbelt for the middle rear seat - Is this true ? Is it safe ? I thought lapbelts went out years ago ?
Any other advice on these cars for a family with young kids ? I know they are not exciting but need a small family car with a big boot - Thanks

I've got a 2016 Fabia estate.
It has no center headrest, they were an option I believe.
But it has a proper three point center seat belt.
Brilliant car, quite roomy, with small car running costs.
The 1.2 4 cylinder engine is nicer than the 1.0 3 pot in my opinion.
Pre April 2017 they are £20 to tax
Post April 2017 they are £140 to tax

If you're after a small car with big boot check out some pre-reg 67/18 Seat Toledos, similar price point and interior as the Fabia - and it has a rear centre headrest! The sales rep said on the phone that there is no centre headrest and a lapbelt for the middle rear seat - Is this true ? At the risk of being off topic, but given your requirements, can I respectfully suggest you consider another Skoda: the Roomster?
If you’re after a Fabia estate, image is clearly not an issue (not a dig, I’m on my second Roomster).
It’s literally 2 cars in 1: Front of a Fabia, back of an Octavia. The back seats (central headrest and 3 point belt) all come out individually; at the moment, I’m running just two seats in the back, but pushed more centrally, allowing my car seated boys more elbow room. The back seats sit fractionally higher than the front, and the low side windows mean they can see out.
Can you tell I like it?
Apologies for diversion.
