Hi,

My car lease (Golf R) is due to be returned in December after 2 years cry

I know I have to keep it serviced inline with VW recommendations and did have it serviced at 10k miles.

It also says to service the car at 2 years / 20k miles.

As I am giving the car back at exactly 2 years, does this mean I have to service it or not?

I think it's a biggish service at 2 years so don't want to have to spend hundreds of pounds if I don't have to.

Appreciate any input from people who leased before, this was my first!

Thanks,
JK

Hand it back a month early, the early repayment will be much less than a service

So you are saying I will have to get it serviced if I leave it up to the 2 year agreement?

Do you know how the early repayment charge is usually calculated?

Cheers

I just handed back a Maserati Ghibli after a 2 year lease deal. It went back about 10 days before the 2nd service was due, with no related charges..

I did get stung for a miniscule chip on the windscreen and a scratch on the spoke of an alloy, that was almost visible to the naked eye.

haha, thanks.

I'm going to book the pick up in a few days before it was dropped off, that way the service was technically not due.

I'm already having to pay about a grand for mileage, so hopefully there won't be much more on top! :/
