Family car with plenty of load space
Discussion
Hello all,
Starting to think about our next car, the current Skoda Octavia VRs we've had on a lease and goes back the end of Feb 19. We have another baby on the way later next year taking us to two. My OH's family live 6 hours away so we need something that's comfortable and roomy for all the kids stuff and dog, I'm 6'4" and generally need the seat right back to be comfortable so unlike now will been to fit another baby seat directly behind me. I've taken a number of good lease deals over the last 3 cars and these seem to be drying up. Having a new car every two or three years seems to fit well, don't care about having no ownership in the car etc. My current lease is on a Jaguar XF which will return in Feb 2020. Nice car but pretty s
t as a family car as the boot space is pretty pathetic.
Like the idea of trouble/stress free motoring so new via lease or PCP etc is ok over 3 years. Don't mind putting a few grand down and max of about £300 per month on a 10K per year.
Anyone had a similar brief and/or seen any deals?

Thanks for the replies looking through various lease comparisons at the minute. Most of our journeys we don't need anything special, 10 mile commute, trip to the supermarket etc it's just for the longer trips, once the Jaguar goes back I'll probably get a smaller run around. The Jaguar is great on longer dog-less trips, now the first child is older and doesn't need much.
I had a S-Max as a hire car recently, Ford don't seem overly competitive these days with their deals. I'd have another Octavia (on my second now) but won't get another child seat in with my driving position. The Kodiaq has some OK deals, don't need the 7 seats but with those 2 extras folded away the space looks good.

You'd be looking at some good deals on all of them. You'd be spending a few thousand more for a better specced Merc or Volvo though.
Thanks for the list-which site did you use?https://www.coast2coastcars.co.uk/
I'd be looking at the E-Class, a massive boot on it.

I think the Kodiaq comes in 5 or 7 seat arrangement.I had a S-Max as a hire car recently, Ford don't seem overly competitive these days with their deals. Popped into our local Skoda dealer today. Sat in a Kodiak and Superb they both had a huge amount of legroom in the back with the drivers seat down and back as far as it would go. I don't think I ever realised until now the non estate superb is a hatch. I'm going to arrange an extended test drive for both so I can get them home and try what they are like with two baby seats in and if they fit on the drive- I im asgine they will.
Not sure we'd ever need them but the extra two seats on the Kodiak are the main advantage I see. I expect the Superb to be the better drive.

If you don't mind a pre registered with no miles there are a few 2.0T Mondeo Vignales with 500-900 miles on the clock going for very good money.
