What to do maintenance on leases?
Discussion
I'm about to take delivery of my first PCH car and was looking at maintenance options and was curious what people do:-
1. Pay for servicing/tyres etc (seems most expensive)
2. Take main dealer maintenance package.
3. 3rd party maintenance package (cheapest option but also possibly "messy")
4. Maintenance through the finance company - is this even an option? LEX say they can't speak to me until I have the car?
Be grateful for any advice!

I did maintenance through lex on my 330d
£15pcm based on 16k over 2 years.
Now here's the interesting bit...
It pushed my excess mileage up to 15ppm from 9p
It's needed a service at 17k new front tyres at 19k and new rears at 21k
Therefore if I had stuck to the mileage the tyres wouldnt have been required and only 1 service I expect.
Now I've gone over my mileage allowance I'm paying considerably more in excess miles.
Overall I expect I'm even, but haven't needed to pay out a big lump in 2 sets of tyres and a service.
