Seems like a rather nice car to me, but in truth I know nothing.

I guess the worst case is losing £695 and the cost of a train ticket so hardly a lot in the great scheme of things.

It seems decent enough have you done a M.O.T History check yet?

Also a HPI then do your due diligence once your viewing the car.

MOT history looks very good although due in early Feb so you only have 3months.
Heated seats would be nice (can't tell if it has them from pics). Looks a solid car for the money. Pretty much risk free at that price.

Yes MOT check seems fine to me, will give the guy a call tomorrow and if he sounds like a decent sort I'll buy it.

Bargain IMO. Bloody ugly but got the proper Volvo engine and it will go forever. Can’t complain at £695

Sold the wife’s V50 yesterday with 162k on the clock for £1200. We paid £1300 for it 8 months ago

I'll almost certainly buy it if it's still for sale tomorrow and if the seller sounds genuine enough on the phone. I'll want to know how long he's owned it, because I assume the ad means two previous owners. If he's only had it a short time that would be a bit of a worry, and I guess asking about oil leaks etc makes sense.

Don't think it has heated seats, I think it's "poverty spec" but I really just fancy a wafty lounge on wheels and this should fit the bill.

I asked about a cheapie one of these in the 1-5k smoker barge thread, was pointed to the dervs thanks to potential gearbox issues.

Assume if it drives ok from cold and goes into every gear fine, at that price, who cares!
