Hey everybody,

Considering a new car. Currently in a 335d saloon (F30). Loving it, but I’m ready to move into something a bit more meaty. I am looking at a used M4 competition pack or a C63 Coupé (S or Non-S depending on availability). I have got some test drives booked so will see which one I like. Just wanted to see if any owners could offer an opinion.

I am torn because there are pros and cons to both. I love the styling of the M4 and the interior features. iDrive, Harmon Kardon, Bluetooth, HUD is all great in my 335d and I know I’ll be getting the exact same in the M4 (which I’m happy with). However, the interior is a bit dated and the exhaust not slightly flat. Equally, the C63 has a fantastic exhaust note, luxury interior however HUD, Burmester, S model all command a larger premium over the M4. Also, Comand Online in Mercedes is a joke.

Anyone have any thoughts as to what they chose and why?

Many Thanks

The M4 would get the nod for me because it is available with a manual gearbox, but I much prefer the C63 for its engine/interior.

C63 every time it's the better car the engine's a beast the interior is the better one out of the two, ownership wise the C63 is a smidge more expensive to to run, as a sidebar I think the M3 looks better than the M4 so if it had to be the BMW the M3 is where I'd be going.

How is Comand Online as an infotainment system? I had one is a 2014 C Class saloon I rented a few years ago and it was a ball ache to use. I found it cumbersome and un-intuitive. iDrive just seems so much easier but I don’t know if I’m saying that because I’m just used to it.

I'm another one who much prefers idrive, I find Comand a pain in the backside even over a year on with it.

I find it easy to use but I'm used to it, I agree the idrive is easier to use.
