I'm sure I'm not the only one thinking of this change. I'm 19 years of age and currently own 2012 ford fiesta 1.25 petrol and I'm thinking of upgrading to a fiesta ST. However, I only really have one doubt and that's the fact that its still a fiesta. I feel like I could be paying for the same car I already have even though I'm not. I'd appreciate it if anyone here is willing to give me some feedback and point out some things to take into consideration.

I can see both points really. It would definitely be a better car but it would annoy me on those journeys where you never use the extra performance that you’re sat in the same car as you had that cost much less. On the other hand you you obviously like your current fiesta so it wouldn’t be terrible that you’ve still got the same interior etc.

Thanks for the reply. You're completely right in what your saying, the fiesta I currently have is fine but I do a lot of driving and it's kinda getting to that point where its falling to bits because to be completely honest its a cat D rig up that wont get through its next M.O.T. However, the leather seats in the ST-3 are a huge selling point for me other than that I'm stuck with the same old bland interior and poor entertainment system.

Indeed I have, the ST will return the same miles per gallon as my current fiesta which is only return 36mpg atm. The tax isn't all the much of a big difference compared to my current fiesta and as for the insurance its about 2800.

36mpg sounds a bit low for a 1.25...?
