£300 lease - Which car fits the bill

The situation is desperate; The wife is starting to resent the amount of time I am spending on motoring websites, in the quest to make a decision on our next lease vehicle. Shes also getting a bit miffed at being dragged to test drives...... before anyone suggests it a change of wife is not an option.

Long story short....

I was initially thinking a Golf R.... but it just isnt going to be practical with 2 kids and a dog. We have an estate right now with around 450 litres of boot space.

So....Ive done the following test drives;

Golf R - Found the interior a bit bland, but the engine and drive amazing. Too small.

Golf R Tourer - Found the interior a bit bland, but the engine and drive amazing.

BMW 1 series M Sport - Great engine...too small

Jaguar XF Sportbrake - Stunning. Drove a slow model, but look at pricing I think I could get something decent for the £300pm mark, but it wouldn't have the performance of a Golf R obviously. Bit worried a Jag is an old mans car.

Ive also seen some deals on a Merc E Series Estate AMG - from what I have seen the interior blows me away, but anything with sub 7.5 seconds 0-60 times is going to be over budget.

I suppose the tick boxes are;

Decent size
A bit of vrooom about it
Max £350 per month lease
A really high-end interior that makes me want to sit in it every evening with a glass of whiskey....hmm that Jag old man thing might fit the bill.

Anyone think of any models or makes I should go and take a look at? It would be appreciated.....as at this point Im debating letting the wife make the decision just to have it done with!
