New lease - any disadvantage to mid Feb delivery?

My new lease is due for delivery the middle of February.

Is there any advantage to waiting until March 1st for the new number plate, over getting it a few weeks early? As it’s not mine, I’m not seeing any reason to wait.

I guess there's just the psychological thing of almost immediately having an "old" car.

I recall at work our leasing supplier wouldn't deliver cars in the last few weeks of the registration period - presumably as they take a bit of a knock at resale.

novelty value of having a new plate the day it comes out but personally I wouldn't bother about it on a lease car,

I'm not sure having the latest reg plate is as big a deal as it once was now they change every 6 months
