Help wanted: your suggestions please!

A mate of mine is looking to add a third car to the garage.
He dailys a Range Rover and also has a 991.1 GTS.
He is looking for something powerful, possibly cabrio, but importantly pre-1993 (for tax reasons in Belgium).
What is a reliable, classy, torquey, motor in that bracket?
Budget is up to 100k.
He seems pointed to a 993 4s cabrio but I don't think that's the answer.
I call on the collective PH wisdom for help!
