Will be headed to the ring in April with a few mates.
We have a 2k budget each to buy a car purely for the trip.

Any recommendations what would be a good fun car for the ring. Needs to be a max of £2k.

And needs to be something I can fit in (6ft4) - so ideally no TT’s, Mx5, Clio’s etc

Think an RX8 will accommodate you OK, if you can find a PZ or 40th with the Bilstein suspension it will be even better for the track part of your jaunt.

Yep

Paid £1,500 quid for the car.

DS2500 pads, uprated fluid and away you go

Have one as a daily, if 6ft4 avoid sunroof or powered seats. Mine had both and at 6ft2 I only just fit without helmet.

MX5 isn't half bad for headroom mind.

Mondeo ST in the classified ATM.

I'm 6ft4 and own an MX5 and fit in quite comfortably, head room is ok, I can't get a helmet on with the roof up though

You'll fit in one of those no problem - I did. Granted, doesn't mean you want one, but still.....

Thanks for the suggestions - looks like the 330ci and the EP3 are front runners.

In regards to clio/TT’s I don’t fit in them comfortably, it’s very much like raising a family with 3 children in a bedsit - doeable but far from ideal.

At that price these seem to be an absolute bargain. Does much go wrong with them?
