Hi chaps,

Long story short, my missus’ parents have a 2011 VW Caddy Combi Maxi which they are looking to sell on. It’s in very good nick, and hasn’t done a shed load of miles either.

It is imported from Poland though and of course that makes it left hand drive. Does anyone have any advice as to how much of an impact this could have in terms of selling it on? Should we try the local Polish groups or look for a company that imports cars to Europe from the UK to get better bang for our buck?

Cheers for any help

Could list it in mobile.de - maybe somebody from the continent will buy it if it is priced attractively

Given value of the £, I suspect LHD may be easier to sell, as it will appear cheap compared to 2nd hand vehicles on the continent..

When I sold my Corrado a number of years ago I probably got more for it because it was LHD...

The price for that Caddy will be higher in Europe than the UK advertise it on Ebay & as you said local European groups & you'll find someone snapping it up, I'd go £1000 less than the RHD as someone will buy it take across to sell on or keep.

Juat an update. Thanks for the advice folks. Car went up on eBay today and is sold and gone today! Never has selling a car been so hassle free! The assumptions were correct, it’s a dealer that’s going to sell it on in Europe. They stand to make a pretty penny but my in laws are very pleased so everyone is happy beer
