I just bought a car which used to have a private plate (2006 reg.) I cannot access the MOT history of the car because it had a different registration number and I don't know what it was. Is there any way of finding out the registration history of a vehicle? The trouble is, the car has a potentially expensive engine issue and I wanted to check to see if it had been picked up in a previous MOT ie it had been sold knowingly. I bought at auction and have little come back either way, I am just curious to find out. Anyone?
Perfect, thanks, I didn't know that was on there... and the seller is a MOTOR SALVAGE DEALER and the last MOT doesn't mention the engine management issue but Im not sure when they were added to the MOT test. Not sure if engine management events are date tagged either? It's a 2006 Mercedes so it seems possible.
