Hello all,

So, I have been looking around for a long time at what to get.

So many options I've looked at and I'm not too fussed really!

I've looked at Imprezas, C30s, MX5s, 330CI/Ds, Audi A3s, Fiesta/ Focus Sts and so many more!

I have around 2- 4K and preferably want a petrol as I have a diesel now and just doesn't sound good or rev.. at all

Any suggestions?

What do you normally use the car for? How much practicality do you need?

Mx5 and Mr2 roadster are good options if you value decent handling, reliability, and roof down motoring.

Z3/z4 sacrifice some handling for better engines.

Early 350z could be in budget too.

I’ll need it for a daily and I’d definitely want fun! Ideally want something turbo’d but I wouldn’t be too fussed if it’s got a bit of go NA

You will be able to get a half respectable Focus ST Mk 2. What it lacks in lightness it more than makes up for with a very entertaining engine. ST3's seem to command a premium but you could get a solid ST2 within your budget. Meaningful differences include auto lights, wipers, xenons, leather off the top of my head.

Word of warning, it drinks a lot. Cruising you'll see 28. Blasting about 17 if you're lucky. It's the primary reason you'll see them with very long previous owner lists. Can't afford to fuel it.

Very comprehensive modding scene so you can easily extract more power. Just do it with the correct supporting mods and you'll have a reliable and fast car.

Very fond memories of my old car. So much so I bought it's replacement.
