Would it work?

Bunch of people who want a particular model/type get together, self-organised or via a intermediary site, to use their collective bargaining power to get better deals. Dealers, brokers etc. are asked to quote for e.g. 20x Tiguan, 10x M240i, or 30x "mid-range small hatchback". Actual deals are done between individuals and sellers.

Like carwow (I think) but for multiple at a time. A search revealed https://carbuckets.com/ covering Florida only.

Reasons it might not... Needs critical mass. Buyers not actually FTQing once quote given. Model derivatives/spec/options makes it complicated. Is the intermediary a forum member, or could it be a profitable company? Easy to bypass the intermediary.

I don't think it would, dealers are already giving everything away via drive the deal and reliant on volume bonus from these cars. People may not believe it, but i don't think there is anything left to give.

I think it would probably only work the opposite way with higher end vehicles!
