DC5 Meg Sport or something else?

I used to have an Elise but for personal reasons I fell out of love with the car and hardly used it the last 12 months or so of my ownership so I sold it.

I have a boring diesel for work as I do about 20k a year.

But I want a toy again. Was thinking of a hatch as it’s more useable than a Elise type car. I fancy doing some European road trips, spa/ ring take the mrs and make a few holidays out of it.
No way would she do it in an Elise bet she went in mine 10 times in over 3 years she hated it.

Would also like to do track days here not many maybe 2 a year.

Original budget was £10k then looking on the net I don’t think it’s enough so would probably push it to £15k ish

Always had a soft spot for the DC5 but they are old now so worry me a little bit. But I can’t really see a decent one depreciating.

I also like the 265 shape Megane sports. I had a Clio Trophy years ago and that was great fun. Everything I read on the net is positive and I got taken around Oulton Park in a 250 last year. I was very impressed.

Porsche Cayman is an option big big bills scare me and I don’t think it would be as fun as a hot hatch down a country lane.
