Sorry if this has been asked. I drive diesel ix35 (WITH PDF) my mileage is only at tops 4000 a year, nearly all my drivi g is short local journeys.

Would like to trade in and try to get Tuscon if i can work it should i stay diesel or get petrol Tuscon. Thank you. Just for info i am a senior citizen but active, as port and seafarers chaplain. Many thanks.

4000 per year / all short journeys is a disaster waiting to happen with a diesel. Get a petrol and save yourself a lot of potential grief.

This ^^^^

If you're only doing 4000 miles AND only short journeys, diesel isn't suitable.

Has to be Petrol or Hybrid with that mileage.

I would like to thank all on here who helped and gave me good advice. I am now the proud owner 67 plate Tucson with only just double figure mileage on the clock, SE NAV, PETROL.
I am very pleased with everything about it. from full tank down to 3/4 i did 190 miles, my Diesel Ix 35 did 220, so not much difference really, so well happy. Have really noticed a difference in acceloration, have to be careful taking off.

Dont know if any of you guys know, but on the bottom of the two rear doors there is like a shape of tape on the bottom of each door, any ideas? have seen other Tucsons with it!! is it safe to remove or does it actually have a purpose.
Also My ix35 had one of them automatic dimming mirrors in with \ built in compass, the Tucson does not have this, so would it be possible for me to have one fitted, or should I ask Hyundai.
Once again thanks for all help and input guys.

It's to protect the paint from stone chips, so I'd leave it in place.
