Evening, looking for a car that isn’t required to be used daily, bit of a weekend car

Ideally something that has a nice growl and plenty of power under the bonnet
Interior not too dated and something that isn’t going to depreciate too much - any recommendations would be much appreciated

Thanks in advance

I'd have thought that someone with £50k burning a hole in their pocket wouldn't need advice on what 'weekend car' to buy.

How about giving a clue to what you might want it for? Track, off road?

Friend recommended an Alfa Giulia as something different but it’s over budget and although looks fun, it’s pretty ugly

Do you think evora, exige, 4c will hold the value over time - hadn’t really looked at the lotus tbh I’m 6ft 1 and considered them potentially too small

No cars are guaranteed to increase in value in this price bracket but Lotus have a history of holding their values well.

6ft 1 is not too large for an exige/evora.

What is your current daily?

Had a 360, then went to a 991 gts - new house, wedding, new kitchen forced sale so currently series 5 Mitsubishi pick up for daily use - just fancy something a little different - don’t fancy another Porsche as it’ll prob feel like a step down from the gts if I’ve only got £50ish k to spend

New mustang? Checks all the boxes IMO. Looks great, interior is fine, sounds glorious. If 444bhp is enough power for you, anyway.

A mate brought round a Jag f-type R the other week, what a machine I'm not a jag guy and have always had M cars or Porsche mainly but it was fantastic in every way and changed my mind about Jaguar.

Cracking car I'd have a look at one of those myself, this was a 2016 model with 18k on the clock he was retailing it for 52k for a 550hp performance coupe, I think that offers value against what that would get you from Porsche.

Don’t bother, it will be too extreme for you and you won’t appreciate it.
