Been searching around for a Seat Leon 1.4 FR TSI for my wife for a few weeks now and finally come across one that looks like a goer - Leon 1.4

We've got a £200 a month budget and have a car to trade in, a call to the dealer says they can get within that budget and they can't give me any more details over the phone (I figured that might be the case). That budget is based on a £2000 deposit.

We'll either be financing it by a loan or PCP.

It's my first time PCP'ing as my current car I leased (and ended up buying off the lease co at the end of the deal) so what should I be looking for.

I had planned to go and haggle the price down but after reading on here, it seems the days of haggling used cars are long gone and looking at this one compared to others on autotrader it's priced VERY competitively especially with only £17k miles on the clock.

I'm aware I need to be looking at the lowest APR possible, within reason as I've heard 0% deals are often inflated by upping the balloon payment amount.

Ideally I'd like a 3 year deal, 8000 miles within or at £200 a month but I have a feeling the dealer will offer a 4 year only (that's my gut feeling).

Any advice is appreciate before we rock up at the dealer, they are a bit of a drive away so don't really want a wasted journey....

Cheers!

You can lease a brand new 1.5 TFSI EVO SE Dynamic for £4300 over 2 years and 16k miles at the moment.

Think you're going to struggle to beat that TBH once depreciation, interest on finance and RFL taken into account?

Wow that is a good deal! Shame it's not the FR Model - I wasn't going to lease but now i'm tempted again...

Saw a few weeks ago a seat dealer had some stock new cars with 269 deposit then 47x269 on PCP.

Obviously if you had a part ex of a few grand then the monthlies would drop to around 200 a month.

I’d be getting some new prices first

Cheers - have found a lease for £151, 9 months deposit, 8k miles and 36 months which I think is a pretty stonking deal.

I have though been in touch with the last lease company I used to see if they can beat it!

Not sure I understand this point... if the balloon payment is larger on a 0% finance deal that makes it cheaper not more expensive... i.e. you borrowed more money for longer at 0%?

I ordered one last week on a 6+23 £149 a month 10k miles. Apparently it won't arrive until the end of June though.

£4321 over 2 years, seems preferable to buying a second hand one.

After a search on Carwow, I actualy had a dealer offer to sell me the exact same car for £13,772

Would you mind sharing the deal you found? I've got 9+46 at £158.51.

Cheers!
