Hi guys

Looking for a car that will really push me back in my seat. Turbo as i dont mind the lag, but want the big bang in the end.

Looking at subaru's ,told it takes a lot to tune one past 500bhp. had my heart set on a s2000 with a turbo conversion, been told they arent known for there torque. I suppose i needs lots of torque to get what im looking for.

Evos, a few around with over 500+, spoke to someone that owned a 550bhp evo8 and he said, it wont throw me back, he says best car would be a R35, they are out of budget. As i have 18k to spend.

Which car would tick my boxes in your opinion.

Cheers

Sounds like you need a junior supercar.

Any in budget 63 AMG or a TT RS.

Are you meaning from a standing start or from a roll?

C5 z06 Corvette is likely to have some good shove and in budget.

Or any other big V8 with a large aftermarket stall. Ls1 auto with say a 3500rpm stall should have the feeling of being fired out of a canon.

To get a true "push you back in your seat feeling" you will need upwards of 450lb ft torque / 350hp.
Even so when you become used to it, the sensation goes.

also the power delivery is important as smaller turbo cars will not give that sensation as they are a wider spread of power so you will need something with a larger unit.

A 550hp EVO won't throw you back? confusedlaugh

You either need to call bullst on his comment or bullst on his cars power output.

As already mentioned if that really is your only requirement in a car you'll soon get used to it and won't even notice the sensation in no time at all.

M6 (try a full launch with the fastest shift mode & you'll be pinned to the seat)

Is that cupholder in the M6 an original fixed feature?

It looks so incongruous, more like something picked up from the Poundland motoring section.

As an alternative, try an electric car.

5.0 XKR... 500 bhp V8. and when you get bored of it, re-map and change the supercharger pulley for an extra 60-70bhp.

Or just take the two front seat bolts out and loosen the rears thus allowing the seat to pivot thus thrusting you rearwards with the g force.

Yep!! I’ve been in a 380odd bhp evo8 and that definitely pinned me to my seat!!! Brutal.

Budget?

I had a corsa 2 litre turbo that pinned you back had over 300whp/350 at the fly if I remember and was built for track work so handled brilliant too and weighed a ton!

Beat loads of more expensive cars ie: porsches m3s a Ferrari 360

Was sad to see it go (it now has a Subaru engine and 4wd) lol
