I've recently sold my sensible little 1.2 Fiesta as the engine went bang and although 'tis not too expensive to replace, I wanted to sell it and put the left over cash towards a more enjoyable and exciting daily driver.

So, inbetween pinching a car from work to knock about in and saving some cash untill summer. What are some of the most fun and enjoyable hot-hatches that I could daily drive for around £3-5k?

To give you a real answer we really need to know your age and the running costs you’re willing to endure. Loads of interesting metal for £5k but it might not be cheap to run or insure.

Do you need a hatchback? How about a coupe or sports car?
