Hi all,

So, I currently have a Mazda Mx-5 (NA) and BMW Z3 (2.8l), which I've had for 2 and 4 years. I used to have a Toyota Yaris T Sport (epic car!) too, but sold that about 18 months ago now.

I feel as though it's about time to get something new (to me). The BMW Z3 was a one owner, low mileage car when I bought it and is lovely. It's still only got about 60k miles on the clock, but I feel as though I may have had my fun out of it.

On the other hand, I have the Mx-5 which I use for daily driving and doing motorsport (track days, autotests & autosolos). The rust finally became perilous enough that it failed its MOT back in January and I've only just got it back on the road after some surgery. I love the car and am happy to continue improving it over time, so I don't see it going anywhere.

What to get then? I'd like something 'better' then the Z3, so that it feels I'm upgrading. I'm on the look out for a Subaru SVX, but finding a good one that's fairly priced might take a while. I've always wanted an Impreza too and now I'm 25 insurance isn't insane for them.

Ideally, I want something that's 'fast', comfortable, reliable and easy to work on myself. Any other ideas?

Good question! The Z3 is probably worth around £6k so ideally less than that, but for the right car I can always put some cash in.
