Hatchback for 2500€~

Hey, so i'm abit lost about what to do about cars. Currently own 1997 audi a3 1.6. It's really okay for me and I love taking care of it, but the problem is rust.. So I thought about changing it. Here are some options, help me decide pleaase 
Oh and im not from England, so money - euros and insurance is not a problem.
1. Buy the same a3 but in better condition and baby it
2. Golf mk5 1.6 or 1.6fsi
3. VII Civic 1.6
4. Maybe Ford focus mk2 1.6 ?
5.Though about Volvo too. V50 maybe.
Main concern is fuel consumption and reliability.. And I hate rust too. Only petrol
