Which car should I buy?
Discussion
So at the moment I have mixed choices on cars, I’ll list below a couple and their spec that I want and I want to see if it’ll be good buy or stay away..
Audi S3, probably around 2007 or newer with around 80-100k miles?
Sirocco GT TSI, 2008-2009 with around 70-80k miles?
I’ve always been sceptical about buying petrols and I have been I guess brought up to think that anything above 80k miles on them is a no go. Would I be right by saying most petrol cars could last till 120k+ mileage if it’s had its regular servicing?
Thank you

OK, it's not VAG but I've got an E91 BMW 325i Touring that has done 139K miles with full BMW SH and still drives fine. Thank you

I'm sure VAG products will do the same so long as they are well looked after.
The idea of 80K mile cars being scrap relates to Escorts and Cortinas - assuming they didn't rot away before they got there.

I just get worried of the turbo going on the S3 😂 I'm sure VAG products will do the same so long as they are well looked after.

Would be pricey

You shouldn't be buying a performance or semi-performance car if you can't afford possible repairs or if you will lose sleep at night worrying about how much of a repair bill might be just around the corner.Would be pricey
