Mot before purchasing?

I'm looking at at 66 plate and its first MOT is due in November.

I feel like I should get the garage to carry out the MOT early before I pick up the car.

Can they even do this? Do you think my feeling is right?

You can mot it when it’s 1 day old if you like, depending on the dealer they may have a policy that all cars must have a minimum of 6 months mot, when I purchased my mini it’s first mot was due in November and mini mot’d it in August, it still annoys my ocd to this day.

Ask the dealer to mot it as i’m Sure it won’t be a problem. It should go straight through unless it’s a VW or Audi, they seem to have a thing for leaking shock absorbers.
