New car advise - Audi A1 Vs Ford Fiesta

I am currently stuck between two cars!

The fiesta has more addons and toys than the A1, but the A1 is a nicer looking car inside and out.
The fiesta is more efficient, but the Audi is faster with more torque.
I will be looking to tow a trailer as well, so this is a factor and would need to be added on the A1, unlike the Ford.
My daily drive is 2 miles long, so the fuel is not an issue.
I would need the trailer every few weeks.
What do people think?
What would be more practical, sensible, better value for money etc.
Any experience on the two cars? Anyone used the 1.0 (140) for towing?

£23k for a small hatchback seems utter madness to me!
Fiesta is rated as being fun to drive, and I imagine more so than the A1, given Audis are usually known for their 'safe' handling, so you may want to factor that in.
How much weight are you towing? Do both cars have the same towing limits?
How long will you keep the car? I imagine the Audi will retain more residual value than a Ford.

I have an Audi A1 currently and do enjoy the drive it provides, I've driven the new A1 and it was good fun, I'm testing the Fiesta in a few days.
Same towing limits more or less, not much in it. It would be a small box trailer with some flight cases.
It would be PCP over four years.

Correct, those are discounted prices. One through Audi referrals and one through a friend in a dealership.So, I won't get much if anything better!
£24k for a top spec Fiesta seems absolutely insane - I paid £13800 for a new Fabia TSI 110 Monte Carlo two years ago and that was only about £16k list at the time.
My mam recently got a Polo R Line as a company car which listed at about £19500, for £24k I'd be looking at a Mini Cooper S or Polo GTI at the very least if you're wanting a small car.

4 miles per day commuting - fuel not an issue.

Buy a used Volvo with a massive engine. Preferably a V8.

I’m looking at similar for my son, I couldn’t believe it when I seen a 100ps Fiesta is £18k, I agree the A1 is nicer but at £22k for a 1.0 it’s hard to stomach. The all singing all dancing launch models were close to £30k 
Discounts on the Fiesta aren’t what they were a few years ago, and the best price I can get is around £15k, the A1 discounts are worse at around £2k. The most worrying thing is that you can get a year old Fiesta for just over £10k, so that’s a 40%+ loss in one year, I think I’ll be buying slightly used.

This is a perfect example of why I don't understand the appeal of new cars. £30k for a small city car???? You could buy a used 911, AM Vantage etc. etc. - and before anybody comes up with "running costs" - that would be a lot less than the depreciation on a brand new £30k tin box.Madness.
