Little game I’ve been playing without much success really. I’ve simplified it to £7k top
Budget however I want something swift and as well equipped as possible. Not diesel.
Something noisy when I want it, rear wheel drive.
Things out of my list include any 200SX variants.
Have at it. Scope is wide open.

At the risk of being predictable BMW made some alternatives - but then again if you want RWD there aren't too many other options, apart from Mercedes!
I was thinking 130i, E9* Series 330i or 335i, or if you don't mind having no back seats a 3.0Si Z4 Roadster, or a Z4 Coupe might squeeze into budget if you don't mind some miles on it.
But you're not as likely to find Z4s that are well equipped - quite a few things standard on 3 Series were options on Z4s. things like cruise control and rear parking sensors for example!

There's a Jaguar Xf 5.0 V8 for sale just in budget. Plenty of toys and plenty of noise when you want it. RWD.
