I have circa £10k this could be stretched a little for the right thing.

Remit is I want something I can jump in on a Friday night and drive to the ring (I live near Leeds) and be fairly confident it’ll get my home again (without me running out of talent) so this means it has to be reliable and fairly comfy.

I will also be trying to do as many track days as possible so uk trackdays all over the place as well.

I still enjoy a blast into the Dales or Lakes so it needs to be able to cover this also.

A Megane 250/265 seems the simple answer but I also quite like the idea of a E46 M3 manual.

Anyone else able to offer up some other suggestions ??

Oh I have also considered a 987 Boxster S 3.2 manual.

VX220?

Whenever someone posts a thread about them wanting a weekend toy/track car at £10K there's very little that'll come anywhere close to one of these

VX220 is a great shout but I’m really not keen on them or Elise’s.

I have previously owned a DC2 and absolutely loved it.

Great shout on the DC5.

Can't really think of another car that would be better suited for a mix of track and daily duties tbh... even in standard form they are pretty much ready to take to a circuit.
