How stupid is it to consider a L322 FFRR ... or 6series / CL
Discussion
After going around the houses on what i want the only three cars that stick out for me are a 6 series, CL500 and FFRR.
I have always want a RR and love the L322 shape.
Looking at the latter 2011 / 2012 4.4 TDV8s, sub 70k mileage ...
Am i daft?
Probably for 6-10k p.a, there ar eloads on 100k+ and 150k+ even.
£10-18k budget
I had another thread but decided to up the budget.
2012 + 6 series
2011+ CL500

My second car is a 650i convertible, my daily driver (Leon Cupra ST 4Drive) will be getting replaced late this year / early next with a CL63 - done the maths and it makes financial sense (for me anyway)
What you lose on depreciation on a new car will offset in full (or at least to a large extent) the higher running costs - but I don't do that many miles 910-15k per year)

Thanks, I'm still really unsure.
The 6 series is the least borkish, most modern design / interior.
The CL is just a lovely pillarless coupe, my budget will just about get me into a latter 4.7TT.
FFRR, golf, shooting, camping and long trips / dogs all covered, but my girlfriend has an old Freelander that i use when i need.
Also i have a V8V for the weekend so this will be a daily.

It depends on what 6 Series you're looking at because the 650i's have some issues with the valve stem seals, the 5.5 N/A CL500 is still a good car but the 4.7TT is the better engine out of the two but should you find a nice 5.5 then don't let that be the reason not to buy one.

Similar here, I narrowed my choice down to I have always want a RR and love the L322 shape.

2012 + 6 series
2011+ CL500
2012+ 640d
2011+ CL 4.7TT
2010+ A7 3.0 tdi
2010 RR Sport 3.0D
Bought a 95k mile 640d in October that is now on 105k miles, one service, expensive tryes, EGR recall and a Bill covered by BMW inc the hire car approx £3500/£4k. Its a great car and does 38-42mpg on a 35 mile run in ECO mode. I sport it would do the same run @ 34-35mpg
Great cars and really good value. My mates all think its a £25k plus motor but it was £14500
Now looking to change and the choices are narrowed down to
2011+ CL 4.7TT (Interior quality is so much nicer quality than the 640d)
2014 on Maserati Ghibli 3.0d
Panamera 3.0d
What are you thinking of?
have you test drove any?
Not interested in a diesel (unless the FFRR), no point i do about 10k p.a. across my 3 cars.
Thinking CL500 4.7 TT or 630i, like i said i have a Vantage for the weekend so that is the manual V8 ticked, but as it is a coupe i fancy a convertible or like the CL500 a pillarless coupe.
CL is lovely, Ghibli is nasty i wouldn`t look twice at it, Panamera turbo is nice.

If i wasn't doing 25-30k miles a year I would have the 4.7 CL in a heartbeat. The cabin is much nicer than the BMW, Porsche and the RR in my opinion. They seem so much value for £17-20k
