Hi guys and girls. We’re looking for a fun sporty 4/5 seater for under 3k. Something along the lines of an A3 3.2, an RX8 or similar..... fuel consumption is irrelevant and so is 8nsurance costs. It’s (yet another) additional car so it could be anything really.

What shall I buy? TIA

Does it need to be practical if you have lots of other cars?

Well.....it just needs to take 4 people (very occasionally....) boot space is irrelevant

Perfect - this was exactly the way we were thinking and have actually seen the A3 3.2 and the C350 on auto trader already today. Thanks for some of the other ideas ??
I'd actually go for the C230 it a nice sweet spot & the lower road tax too.

Or if you don't mind RWD you could add BMW E46 and E9* 3 Series 325i and 330i to your list.

If you like a manual gearbox you're more likely to find a BMW with one than a Mercedes!

Plus they are all Band K road tax, so £325 a year instead of £500+.

230 is £325 wink thought you didn't like your 325i that's why you sold it.

It wasn't as good as I had hoped - so I got a 330i instead! Much better. laugh
