How do you make a decision
Discussion
Im going insane trying to make my mind up and i just cant decide what to do next haha.
I own my mk7 fiesta st outright, its been modified to 230bhp, ive had it the longest out of all of my cars as it has been a great car so far.
Only thing is i feel like i want a roadster, but to get one with what i want (not too old, not rusted, decent mileage, heated seats), im looking at spending 5k more than what my car is worth now due to depreciation since i bought it.
Now that amount of cash would buy me a big turbo kit and an LSD for my car which would push it into serious power territory (330bhp, 1150kg car weight), and the car i would buy would pretty much be a mx5 nc 2.0 sport 160bhp, which i would want to lower and add an exhaust.
How the f
k do i make my mind up haha im at my wits end. The biggest thing i dont like about my car is how common it is and it needs a louder exhaust but then im worried of looking even more chav, im approaching 35 as it is and feel a bit of a tit sometimes as i cant help drive the car without flooring it everywhere it just begs to be ragged.
I also hate having to use a disklok everywhere i go.

I would go for an older car and save some money.
Something like one of these:

I also have a Fiesta ST running around 230bhp, i love the way it drive, handles brilliantly puts the power down well etc etc. I would like to go for a hybrid and LSD as theres nothing else around the money which i think would give me the same buzz and performance unless i went for a classic scooby or something but then id be worried about reliability.

but my car is only worth 8.5k so id barely get anything back and have a much older car with an unknown history. Something like one of these:

Pretty sure a decent fabricator would be able to design and fit the exhaust you require performancewise and keep it nice and quiet. Somewhere like hayward & scottI own my mk7 fiesta st outright, its been modified to 230bhp, ive had it the longest out of all of my cars as it has been a great car so far.

Honda S2000 (I see it was linked to) would probably be your best shout if you are worried about reliability, but being n/a it limits a quick and cheap tune. ninjag said:

it does fit a good bit of the bill but prices are just too strong now for what you get, paying about 15k for a 14 year old honda haha.
I was seeing plenty at that age going going for half that price?Petrolsmasher said:

I was seeing plenty at that age going going for half that price?Obviously I cannot make up your mind for you. But, I would go and buy an older (cheaper) MX5 <or insert name of another roadster here> and keep the Fiesta too. That way reliability won't be such a concern. You get a roadster. And in a years time you can upgrade your Fiesta too.....
I have a cheap Smart Roadster, which compliments my other cars as being different. Also, take a look at the mk3 MR2 - I owned a tired MX5 and was not overly impressed.
