Audi TTRS worth it?

Hi Guys,
So im in the market for a new car, going back and forth i find myself greatly attracted to a certain white fully loaded 2018 TTRS, i test drove it and was impressed. Thing is I have always seen TTs as more of a hairdressers car and they are very common, but the new RS just looks so sexy and 0-60 in 3.6sec....well
At 50k though it just seems like so much for a TT, so I just don't know if its a good buy...im concerned that it might depreciate rapidly and in a few years if i come to sell it i will loose. i see the ttrs to the tt range as the golf r is to golfs, great car but 50k, there are serious second hand motors for that much?
Is the TTRS a safe buy, is it worth the 50k? Is there a chance it might appreciate or hold its own if mileage is low?
My other options were an m4 (dont like the sound), m2 or an R8(old V8 one). i currently have a golf r

Yeah iv seen a few, but rhey are a bit older say 2013 and with 35k mileage so dnt know how reliable they will be. The TTRS had full warrenty etc as its a 2018...I dnt think the rs its worth the cash if the prices are going to drop that bad as everyone says. I thought that maybe as its such a decent upgrade ane looks and performs so much better it might hold its value a bit..
Any Audi will certainly depreciate in its early to medium life, a 1-3 year old ttrs will not be gaining value the way a UR Quattro has in the last decade.
I can't help but think the OP perhaps cares too much about other people's views by being worried a TTRS can be called a hair dressers car.

Yes it will lose 1000's like the TTRS but IMO it will be worth it.

Have a look at 3yr old values of the car, should give you a rough guide as to how far your trousers will be pulled down.
It is just a quick TT so likelihood of it appreciating...slim to non existent.
An R8 V8 manual however would be a sensible buy...relatively speaking of course.

Golden rule of purchasing cars: it WILL depreciate. Some faster than others, some painfully fast. If you happen to lose less then you are lucky, if you happen to gain then you are very lucky.
A TTRS will cost you money. Depreciation will be the biggest bill. Sorry to be so blunt.

Agree with the above! As an additional thought, if you want something interesting that's not going to lose much money if you keep the miles down how about one of these? Not as quick in a straight line as a TTRS but fast enough and probably more engaging to drive....https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201...

The 8S TT is a nice car, clearly as I have one i'm biased, but they are well received and as a DD a lovely place to sit.
Personally, when I was looking I had a choice between RS and S and having driven both the only benefit of the RS was the sound of the 5cyl motor, everything else was broadly similar and for the extra £10k it wasn't worth it for me. The 2.0 in the S remaps really well if the OP wants a bit more performance, as I did.
