Yes, they're ugly, like really ugly - I know that.
But seem to have a Mercedes diesel engine and are well equipped inside.

They appear very good value (probably because they are as ugly as sin) so what's the real life reviews ?

My neighbor had one for his family and towing caravans/trailers/small boats. Seemed to be endlessly reliable but he said he hated driving it. I think he said it was uncomfortable.

Duntbarn Logistics replaced LR Disco's with Rextons, says a lot not just in terms of dependability, reliability, dealer experience & to a lesser extent image too - great trucks by the sound of it.

Was thinking of one to use as a bit of a camper-car - throw all the rear seats out, travel across Europe, leave with some locals in some god forsaken town in eastern Europe, fly home.

It would probably change their lives.

Loads of Dublin Taxis drivers use these. Rattle like hell but apparently very reliable & spares are cheap.

The current new style ones are getting good 'long-termer' reviews in the auto press. Almost plunged for one a few months ago, but VED is hefty, plus showroom tax, plus VAT, puts almost £7K on the price of an auto ELX. Then add £500 for metallic paint and you're up to £39K.

There are some old style 2015 low milers around, a diesel EX on the Ssangyong used with 6000 miles for £18K. That's a lot of depreciation.
