Motorway cruiser & city car in one

Need a motorway cruiser good for long continental trips & which doubles up as good city run-around too.

Preferably petrol V6 ideally under £15k or euro six diesel. Any reliable, or cheap’ish to repair. barges that are not too big would be good.

When you say city runaround.... do you want to be able to park it in small spaces?
Because any modern big barge would do the job of cruising big miles, but can be more of a pain in the arse round small city streets and specially finding parking.

I ran an E Class for 3 years and never had much issue around cities, but did sometimes have to look for wider and/or longer parking spots.

FYI... most of these big barges have a similar footprint to an FFRR.

E Class dimensions: 4846mm long, 1907mm wide..
