Low depreciation, low mileage weekend car

Hi all
I know this has been done before but I have read the forum and can't find much that relates to my situation.
I use public transport and don't 'need' a car, but I want one for weekend use. I probably will only put 2k p/a on it.
Requirements:
- Budget: Unsure. Ideally £20k max but maybe would be willing to spend £40k if it meets the next requirement well...
- Depreciation: I know some hate this, but I can only justify (to the Mrs!) getting a decent car if it isn't going to drop value massively while it sits on my driveway for most of its life. This is especially true if we stretch our budget. I don't need it to be depreciation proof, just low depreciation, but bonus points if it is or if it has scope to go up in value.
- Reliability: I don't want to have to spend £1,000s in repairs every year.
Nice-to-haves
- 4 seats: Not essential to me, but the Mrs really wants something with 4 seats
- Low(ish) tax bracket. Appreciate this may be difficult to achieve.
- Something fun.
- No more than 50k miles on the clock.

- 997.2
- 1M (probably out of my price range for a decent example. Seems to have already appreciated?)
- Something AMG (but I really don't know what - please help!)
- Type R (I don't feel it has the class of some of the others, but may meet my requirements)

- Cayman 718 (as above)
- TT (as above)

Always gets the "right" attention. No one thinks you're a nob and usually appreciates the car.
The boot is cavernous, the rear seats are more usable than my 911.
Not depreciation proof, nothing is, but they've done very well.
Anyone who says they aren't special enough doesn't know what they're talking about. It's an iconic car that gets attention and respect from all corners and people just love talking to you about it.
The wife also loves it.

Lotus Elise if you want strong residuals but by the sounds of it your missus wont let you have one. 
Shame because they are a great weekend car and an absolute hoot to drive but without massive running costs.

Only 2 seats as a rule, but how about a Morgan? Lots of driver engagement, fun at sensible speeds and overall mechanically reliable (but you do need to keep on top of fettling ).
Depreciation is negligible over the longer terms.
But not everyone’s cup of tea, so if you do think about this route, definitely take a good test drive to see if unassisted steering, 1930’s suspension and almost zero creature comforts suit you.
(They do me for my weekend driver, but would not work for me on a daily driver basis)

I second the Mustang call it's a good car & pretty much ticks all the boxes, plus there's plenty of scope to make it your own.

Most things that fit your bill will have high road tax. I would also say that most suggestions here will have the potential for at least 1 big bill so if you baulk at spending £500 on road tax for a year then running a Porsche, M car, AMG etc probably isn't going to be for you.
The flip side is that the more mundane and economic to run stuff you mention such as some sort of fast TT or a type R just isn't that special and will depreciate.
A bottom price range Evora seems sensible, just don't expect to never spend a few hundred here and there simply because you do low miles.

It is 25% of your budget, has higher road tax and mpg than you may like, but ticks every other box and so cheap.
I have owned one before, it was truly amazing to own and the oil consumption I found to be a bit of a myth. The engine does usually need a rebuild after 100k miles which puts people off, but as a weekend car that shouldn't be an issue. Compression tests are also recommended.
