BMW E61 or F11?

Currently looking at the two options in the title.

Looking at the estate version as we have our first on the way plus dog and I also go away mountain biking so need a car to carry all this.

I have my eye on the 535d and noticed the F11 version is not much more ££ than the E61, is the F11 worth the extra cash over the E61?

I have read the driving dynamics are a little numb in the newer BMW?

I’ve also looked at E class but currently the 535d is ticking the boxes (if I can find one) may have to look at 530 also.

I've had both. Driving isn't much different but the interior of the F11 is a significant improvement as is the iDrive system. Assuming you are looking at automatic cars you also get the much better ZF 8 speed box.

I'd go for the F11 every time personally.

Another question, E61 335d or a lesser engined F11, such as a 530 or even a 520d??

I'd dorp to a 530d but not a 520d is adequate but the 3.0d is the way to go.

Do you mean F30 335d or E60 535d?
If so I'd defo take an F10 530d over E60 535d
