I found a car on autotrader that's low mileage, it’s apparently done 65,000 and it’s 11 years old, but after entering the registration plate into the gov MOT history checker it says the mileage has been lowered between 2011 and 2012? Does this mean the vehicle has been clocked or could there be a genuine reason for this? The registration is: SL58 VVJ

Thanks

19854 in 2011
NO ODOMETER (!) in 2012
1384 in 2013
6242 in 2014

THEN :
32110 IN 2017

Very odd.
I have a 12 foot bargepole you could borrow ?

Its a poxy old Mazda 6 , go and find a half decently honest one.

It's had a odemeter fault and had new clocks fitted would be my guess.

Wouldn't concern me as first mot mileage was 14K.

You are right it's odd, can I borrow the bargepole please?

A friend of mine with more knowledge in this area than me has pointed me towards this tool ( https://rapidcarcheck.co.uk/mileage?Reg=SL58VVJ ) – it’s quicker than manually checking through all the MOT records.

Needless to say, I think I’ll keep looking lol...
